Kids Camp

The finale to the summer was camp!
Last week I and two other leaders took six kids from our neighborhood to Morning Star Ranch, a World Impact Camp, in Florence, Kansas, for a week of kids camp!

The kids got to run and play, swim, canoe, get messy & sweaty, eat a ton of food, and hear lots of teaching about Ephesians 6 and putting on the full armor of God. Our camp theme was "Army of God- Who's Your Enemy?"

The kids memorized three Bible Verses, too:
Ephesians 6:12 "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, the authorities, the powers of this dark world, and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."

Psalm 20:7 "Some trust in chariots, some trust in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God."

John 1:12 "Yet to all who received Him, to all who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God."

It was such a fun week and the kids got so much out of it.
The real joy came in hearing that one of our girls prayed to commit her life to Christ for the first time this week! And one of our boy's made a re-commitment to follow Christ!

This week three of our staff are back at the Ranch with five Junior High students for another week of camp!

I can't wait to hear how their week goes.

This summer has been incredible. We worked with 65 children. We saw 7 kids pray to receive Jesus into their hearts, and 2 more re-committed their lives to Him! Praise God.
