It's good to be a hokie
I have discovered the best part of being a VT Alum: Homecoming!!!
This past weekend I went back to Blacksburg for a visit to raise support and hang out with friends. It was so fun! I LOVE Blacksburg!! Christy and I wore our Hokie Spirit well:
It took a lot of effort to find tickets to the football game, but as soon as we stepped into the stadium, and made our way to the very top row, way in the corner, we sat in our seats and felt it was all worth the effort. In fact, the top row of the stadium has a pretty good view and we didn't miss a single play thanks to the HokieVision! We had good times in our seats, as we were surrounded by Marshall fans and obviously enjoyed cheering EXTRA loud for our winning team.
There was more fun to be had after the game when we trekked to the Roanoke Star for old times' sake on Saturday night. The Star has to be the cheesiest hangout spot in SouthWest Virginia, but it was still fun for us!
My conclusion after this weekend:"It'sstill good to be a Hokie!"
