Dear Friends and Family,
I am writing with great excitement to share with you big news about my future in ministry:
I have recently been accepted as a student at Dallas Theological Seminary and will enroll in classes this fall to begin my pursuit of a Master of Arts in Christian Education with a concentration in Children’s Ministry.
Many months ago I began to sense the Lord speaking to me about an upcoming transition in my life and ministry. I spent much time praying and seeking Him and soon clearly sensed that my time with World Impact would be shorter than I initially expected and that He was pointing me toward pursuing formal education to prepare me for the next phase of ministry in my life. Over the years, God has developed within me a great desire to minister to children and I am looking forward to serving in this capacity in a local church following my time at seminary. My goal is to learn more about the Bible and how to more effectively communicate the Truth of God’s Word to others.
I will officially leave World Impact staff, move to Texas, and begin my life as a student in August.
I am truly grateful for each of you and all the ways you have supported me over the past several years: financially, through your prayers, and with many words of encouragement. I have genuinely enjoyed my time in St. Louis and on staff with World Impact. It has been clear from the beginning that God brought me here not only to impact others but also to accomplish a great work within me.
I would like to ask you to continue that support over the next several months as I complete my season of service in the city. I am excited about spending one final summer here in ministry to local children. Last summer was an incredibly successful time of outreach, evangelism, and growth and I cannot wait to see the Lord work in many amazing ways again this time around.
I appreciate your prayers as I look forward to this time of transition in my life and would be happy to hear from any of you who might be interested in learning more about my plans or the way the Lord has been speaking to me about this new adventure!
Some specific things you can pray that the Lord will provide for me in Dallas:
-Finances for living expenses and tuition while I am in school
-Housing and a great roommate for me and my dog, Lexie
-Work that is enjoyable and fruitful both for ministry and paying the bills
-Involvement in a local church
-Friendships in an unfamiliar place
Anticipating great things,
Beth
