I usually don't go on the trips with the kids, but last Friday we were one chaperone short so I got to join in on the experience! We took the kids to the St. Louis Science Center. It was really fun for them, and kind of crazy for me. I, along with my co-leader, was in charge of 7 kids for the afternoon. This means that every two minutes I was taking inventory of my group:
1,2,3,4,5.... where's 6 and 7? Oh, there they are!
1,2,3,4,5,6... we're missing one... which one is it? Who was in our group, again?
1,2... uh-oh, now we're the ones who got lost...
And so-on... for three glorious hours.
And truthfully, I had a great group. They never got too far away, and if someone did wander off it was accidental because they were so interested in all the displays. The good news is that we came back with the exact same kids we left with and everyone had a great time.

The one kid in the third picture must have the rapid aging disease or something.
