We spent lots of time with my aunts, uncles, and cousins visiting and shopping and eating, of course.
We welcomed a new addition to the family through my Cousin Lou's recent marriage to Alicia.(In the middle wearing matching "I'm not lucky I'm good" tees since their last name is Good)We covered family history with a visit to the cemetery and a lesson on geneology.

An exciting highlight of the trip was the visit to the Elk farm up the road. FYI: being that close to an elk reveals that they have cow faces and horse bodies. The wire fence between us and them was not too convincing as a measure of security, but my Aunt Paula is fearless and led me to the edge to get some great pictures. Who needs zoos?
Another highlight was the Detroit airport, surprisingly. It really puts ATL Hartsfield-Jackson to shame. I highly recommend it for all your layover needs.
To My Family: Posting pictures here is easier than emailing large files. You should be able to right-click any photo to download it to your computer. If you want me to email, please let me know. There are several others available as well.
