Each afternoon we offered electives for the kids to get creative, messy, or sweaty. The activity choices included cooking, arts & crafts, newspaper, drama, dance, football, basketball, volleyball, and board games.
At the end of the week some of the classes showed off all their hard work by performing at our Family Night. The drama and dance teams each performed, the “Kingdom Chronicles” newspaper was distributed, craft items from all week long were on display, and the cooking class shared the sweet treats they had made. What talent our kids have!

Kingdom Chronicles, our spring break newspaper, was published at the end of the week with stories, poems, interviews, and artwork all created by our young journalists who loved playing, I mean
working, on the computers.

The dance elective divided into two teams to perform both a dance routine and a step routine on Friday night.

Arts & Crafts was a great time to be creative and a little messy... thankfully we wore smocks to keep all the parents happy and had some really beautiful works of art to show off on Friday night!

Drama class turned more into dress up time during the week, but the team put together a fantastic skit on Friday night which covered all of our daily Bible themes!

The gym electives are always a very popular choice. In addition to playing games, the classes focused on teaching skills in each sport.

A new elective choice this year was board game time in the rec room. The older guys really got into chess!

Cooking was so popular last year that we offered it three times each day this year! The recipes were simple, but the kids loved helping to make (and eat) fun finger foods.

We saved rice krispie treats, popcorn balls, puppy chow, no-bake cookies, and frosted sugar cookies to share with everyone on Friday night!
