i cant believe its already the 19th.
i cant believe there is christmas stuff in stores.
i cant believe that i have been so busy that i havent posted anything this month.
a lot has been happening:
i moved. into a fabulous apartment of my own. i have been decorating and dancing in the hall and being a hermit. i have also been freezing because my furnace broke and i was without heat for a while, until today!!! i carried a little space heater from room to room, so i was okay, but i am sure glad to have the furnace back since it is COLD in st louis.
i pulled out my winter stock of scarves and mittens and gloves and i am a happy girl.
i started taking a new class through The Urban Ministry Institute. we meet on thursdays. my class is called "Foundations of Christian Leadership." it is focused on defining the Biblical perspective of deacons, elders, bishops, and pastors in the church. i am learning A LOT.
my dad came to visit. it was fun times. it made me excited to go home next month and see my whole family.
we had an open house to celebrate World Impact's 30th year in st. louis. it was fun to look back at all that has been done in three decades of ministry. it was also fun to realize all that is happening now is because of groundwork that was laid by people just like me all those years ago. i am thankful for them.
i have been working with the after school sports and rec program we have for kids three days a week. kids are funny, and loud, and they have lots of energy. they need lots of love. some days are tough, but i love it and every day is worth it.
well thats what ive been up to. hopefully i will see many of you in a few weeks when i am visiting supporters and friends in virginia, georgia, and florida. i'm excited....
