Hokie Hi!

My brother asked tonight if I am nostalgic for school. My answer would be a resounding "NO WAY JOSE!!!" But my mom did bring up the topic of Hokie football and the fact that once it starts up I will definitely be missing my college days. And I think she is right... considering that I wrote every gameday of the fall schedule into my planner in July and have been anticipating September 4th for weeks... I have also had my homecoming hotel reservations for about a month now, and I will probably soon begin counting the days until October 8th!
In lieu of living in Blacksburg I have decided that while I am in Atlanta I should show some hometown pride and become a Falcons fan, too. It doesn't hurt that my favorite player, Bryan Randall, is now on the team. My secret dream is to run into him somewhere in Atlanta before I move away and casually mention our mutual alma mater and shared experiences with Campus Crusade/Athletes in Action and inner city ministry in LA. Hey, maybe he will want to support me!
Anyway... I am seriously eager for football season and since I work most Saturdays I need to learn how to use the VCR so I won't miss a minute of the action on the field. And if you ever need to find a gift for me, I still need one of these, size Medium, please. :o)
